Lorie and I (Steve) and our boys have created KidsSuccess to keep our family focused on what matters most.  KidsSuccess is a business, yes: but it's our parenting business and our kid's environment for learning what schools cannot teach them.

MORGAN

…is 19 years young.  He created, manages and maintains our Website and Newsletter.  He has a genius we had often failed to support: he has a desire to achieve that we now admire.  He still needs our help and we are proud to be there for him.

CHRISTOPHER

…is 8 years old.  He enjoys an environment rich in Words at Play indebted in many ways to the parenting struggles that preceded him.   You'll notice that he has co-authored two of our books so far: BrainGames and Making Mistakes and Proud of it.  His energy and desire to learn is infectious and often drives our activities.

NICHOLAS

…is 3 years old.  He is our youngest (and last) reminder of the joys and tribulations of parenting.  Nicholas brings to our family, and KidsSuccess, our immersion in the astounding phenomenal growth that occurs in early childhood.   He IS the moments of enchantment that burst suddenly into the clarity and understanding that we so value as parents.   Last week as Lorie and Nicholas were testing a WordThing prompt to launch writing a poem, Nicholas said “A Poem is Words Dancing in my Mouth.”    We know exactly what he means.

We don't know if Nicholas will grow up to be a poet.  What he becomes is important to him, not us; WHO he becomes, however, is very important to us because we are parents.

LORIE DENNING, MOM

Lorie is currently VP, HealthCare Practice at Marsh USA, co-creator of KidsSuccess, Educator, Author, acclaimed Public Speaker and Mom – not necessarily in that order on any given day.  Lorie has her RN and MBA, as well as a CPCU and other designations.  She was owner/CEO of her own Insurance Agency specializing in HealthCare Facility/Physicians Risk Management Solutions representing a Fortune Five Hundred Insurance Company.

STEVE DENNING, DAD

Steve is currently your host and co-creator of KidsSuccess, Educator, Author, and stay-at-home Dad.  He clearly has the better end of the stick.  Steve has directed Materiel and Support Services for National and International Healthcare Entities, specializing in replacement facility systems designs, start-up and operations.  Steve has taught college English Composition, Writing, and Poetry courses and served as Poet-in-the-Schools for the Oregon Arts Foundation ‘Artists-in-the-Schools' Program.
